Our November issue features an interview with Atalian Turkey CEO Barış Ünalp, with Ünalp stating that they focused on investing in technology and software to offer faster solutions to changing customer expectations and provide better quality service.

Could you tell us about Atalian, a company that provides services in the integrated facility management sector?

Being one of the world’s leading facility management service providers, Atalian produces solutions devised to meet the needs and expectations of private and public sector customers across the globe through more than 123 thousand employees in 36 countries. The most signifi cant brands procuring services from Atalian include inter alia Air France, Airbus, BNP Paribas, EY, Exxon Mobil, Inditex, Lafarge Holcim, LVMH, Marriott Hotels, Paris Aeroport, StanleyBlack&Decker, SNCF and Tesco.

Atalian Turkey makes a difference with its expertise in various fi elds such as engineering, consulting and energy management, along with innovative housekeeping applications and reporting solutions. EVD Energy Management, a group company in the fi eld of energy management, is the first authorized company to start operating in the fi eld of consultancy for energy productivity in Turkey. How do you, as Atalian, make a difference in the services you provide, and what would you like to say about your contributions to the sector?

The world is currently going through a process of digitalization, and with it come signifi cant changes in the way of working especially in the facility management sector, brought along by the developments in IoT and IT. As a result of rapid changes in technology and lifestyles, the expectations of customers evolve and take new shape with each passing day. Therefore, we focus on making investments in technology and software to continuously improve and provide better quality service.

Is there anything you would like to add?

In recent years, the facility management sector has been growing in importance not only in Turkey but worldwide, and hence, has started attracting attention both because of the growth potential it has and the level of employment it offers. Also, recent technological advancements and the increasing level of welfare have led to a radical change in people’s understanding of the services offered to them. With this change in their demands, people now prefer safer, cleaner and healthier working and living environments, encouraging them to opt for multi-service cleaning, security and catering packages they can procure from a single company in an integrated manner instead of procuring each service from a different company. Bearing this in mind, Atalian Turkey and the sector we operate in will continue to generate ever-increasing levels of added value through the efforts we make in the field of technology in order to meet these demands.
